The Reds released Kemp on Friday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Kemp signed a minor-league deal with the Reds in July, but he'll now have to search for another opportunity after slashing .237/.338/.364 with 17 RBI across 139 plate appearances with Triple-A Louisville. The 32-year-old has been able to put up solid numbers overall in Triple-A this season (.773 OPS), so he should have little trouble latching on with another team as organizational depth.

Kemp signed a minor-league contract with the Reds on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Kemp signed an NRI deal with Cincinnati this spring but opted out of the contract in hopes of landing a spot on a big-league roster. He's since spent time in the Orioles' and Twins' organizations and is hitless in 10 major-league at-bats this season. Kemp will report to Triple-A Louisville, but the Reds are dealing with a plethora of injuries and could require the 32-year-old utility man's versatility in near future.

The Twins released Kemp on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Kemp had a July 1 opt-out clause in his minor-league contract and decided to exercise it. The utility player slashed .279/.358/.436 with six homers in 46 games with Triple-A St. Paul. He'll now look to latch on in another organization.

Kemp signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. Kemp lost his job with the Orioles when they promoted Jackson Holliday, but he didn't have to wait long to find another gig. With the Twins dealing with a couple injuries in their infield between Royce Lewis (quad) and Carlos Correa (intercostal), Kemp will provide some added depth.
