  The Pirates signed Minaya to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports. Minaya's 2022 big-league performance was unremarkable, while his 6.98 ERA in Triple-A was even worse than his big-league mark. The righty reliever did post a 2.48 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 40 innings in 2021, so he could find a role in Pittsburgh's bullpen if he returns to form.

  Minaya signed a minor-league contract Wednesday with the Nationals. After being released from his minor-league deal with the Twins over the weekend, Minaya quickly found a home in a new organization. He appeared in relief Wednesday for Triple-A Rochester, tossing a scoreless inning against Syracuse. The 31-year-old could be a candidate for a promotion to the big club down the stretch if Washington requires an extra relief arm.

Minaya was one of three veteran relievers with prior MLB experience whom the Twins cut loose Sunday, with Tyler Thornburg and Ben Heller also receiving their walking papers. The 31-year-old right-hander turned in a 6.98 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 40 innings at Triple-A St. Paul this season.

  Minaya was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Minaya was designated for assignment by the Twins on Monday after he posted a 5.59 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 9.2 innings over six relief appearances in the majors to begin the year. After going unclaimed on waivers, he'll choose to remain with the Triple-A club rather than testing free agency.

  Minaya was designated for assignment Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Minaya was called up Friday and made two scoreless appearances, but he will cede his roster spot to Trevor Megill. Minaya remained with the Twins after being designated for assignment by the team in early June, but it remains to be seen if he will do the same this time around.
