  • Hoskins went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Phillies. Hoskins had the only multi-hit effort for either team in the contest, which was his first such performance since Aug. 30. He's gone just 9-for-43 (.209) over 14 games in September, though three of his hits this month have left the yard. The first baseman's blast was his 25th this season, a milestone he's reached in his last five full-length seasons. He's still had some difficulty with contact, batting .212 over 122 games while adding 74 RBI, 53 runs scored and three stolen bases across 122 contests in 2024 after missing all of 2023 with a torn ACL.

  • Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks. Hoskins' fourth-inning blast was enough to give the Brewers the lead for good. The first baseman has struggled in September, going 4-for-30 (.133) over 10 contests, though two of those hits are homers. For the year, he's at a .207/.294/.409 slash line, 24 long balls, 73 RBI, 51 runs scored and three stolen bases over 118 games.

  • Hoskins is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants. Tuesday's game is the third one since Aug. 27 that Hoskins is not in the starting lineup for, but he's appeared in every game since then and recorded at least three plate appearances in each. Sal Frelick is in right field and batting sixth as Hoskins' replacement, while Jake Bauers hits fourth and slides into Hoskins' spot at first base.
