Chourio (hamstring) will start in left field and bat second in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Friday. Chourio aggravated his injured hamstring during the seventh inning of Game 3 on Thursday, but he is seemingly feeling well enough to remain in the starting nine Friday. The 21-year-old outfielder has been one of the few Brewers hitters to contribute consistently during the postseason, slashing .276/.290/.552 with two homers and eight RBI through 31 plate appearances.

Chourio exited Thursday's game against the Dodgers after appearing to aggravate his right hamstring injury, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. Chourio took an apparently normal swing in the seventh inning, but he immediately came up hobbling with what initially appeared to be a cramp. After he was unsuccessful in his attempts to get loosened back up, the young outfielder was quickly removed from the game in favor of Blake Perkins. Chourio should be considered day-to-day heading into Friday's Game 4 with the Brewers looking to avoid a sweep.

Chourio said Monday that his right hamstring feels "close to 100 percent," Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Chourio missed most of August with a right hamstring strain and had to be removed from Games 1 and 2 of the NLDS after the hamstring flared up on him. While it appears Chourio is on the mend, the Brewers are still likely to ask the outfielder to take it easy on the basepaths so as not to aggravate the injury. Chourio is slashing .389/.421/.667 with one home run, two doubles and six RBI in five games this postseason.

Chourio (hamstring) will start in left field and bat second Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Cubs. Chourio had to be removed from each of the first two games of the series with right hamstring tightness, but he's been cleared to play Wednesday as the Brewers look to close out the series. The 21-year-old will likely be under strict orders to take it easy on the basepaths. Chourio is 5-for-7 with one home run and six RBI so far in the series.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Tuesday that Chourio was removed from Monday's Game 2 of the NLDS versus the Cubs in the ninth inning after his right hamstring tightened up, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. It's the same hamstring that Chourio tweaked in Game 1, forcing his removal from that contest. Murphy noted that Chourio will go through a very light workout Tuesday at Wrigley Field prior to Wednesday's Game 3, and the outfielder is considered day-to-day. Chourio is 5-for-7 with one home run and six RBI in the first two games of the series. If Chourio forced to miss Game 3, Isaac Collins would likely replace him in the outfield.
