The 32-year-old stepped to the plate in the fifth inning and launched his 26th homer of the campaign off Jack Ralston to tie the game. Suzuki is now slashing .270/.366/.476 with 26 homers, 86 RBI and 79 walks in 625 plate appearances this season.

Suzuki was 0-for-4 with a strikeout until his final at-bat of the game in the eighth inning, when he crushed his 25th home run of the season. It was the talented outfielder's first long ball this month, and his overall total is the second highest of his MLB career, trailing only the 32 homers he hit in 151 regular-season games last year. Suzuki missed a little time to begin 2026 due to a right knee sprain suffered in the World Baseball Classic, but it's been another strong offensive campaign for the 32-year-old slugger.

With a prime spot in the heart of a potent Chicago lineup, Suzuki should remain one of the top offensive performers in fantasy baseball during the stretch run.

Suzuki tallied his second straight three-hit effort as he helped lead the Cubs to a comfortable victory. The outfielder hit his 23rd home run of the season, but his first since Aug. 17, and he could reach the 30-homer plateau for the second consecutive season if his power stroke gets going. Even if he doesn't get to 30 long balls, Suzuki is having a strong campaign, and his current .862 OPS would represent a new career best in MLB.
