Holton will serve as the Tigers' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. He'll pick up his ninth start of the season and his second of the series after previously covering one inning and giving up two earned runs in Friday's 7-1 loss. Before getting tagged for the two runs, Holton had turned in nine consecutive scoreless appearances and allowed just seven baserunners in 12.2 innings during that span. Ty Madden hasn't pitched since Sept. 14 and could be deployed in bulk relief behind Holton.
