Bibee will start Game 5 of the ALCS against the Yankees on Saturday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports. Bibee has made three starts during the postseason so far, during which he's allowed four earned runs over 10 innings. He didn't fare well during his most recent outing in Game 2, however, allowing three runs (two earned) in just 1.1 frames. His abbreviated outing will allow him to pitch on short rest Saturday, and he'll look to quiet the Yankees' offense, which owns a .743 OPS in the postseason.

Bibee has been confirmed to start Game 2 of the American League Championship Series against the Yankees, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports. Bibee's most recent start came in Game 4 of the ALDS versus Detroit, when he allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters over four innings. The right-hander also started Game 1 of that series and fared better, tossing 4.2 scoreless frames with six punchouts and one walk. Bibee will be opposed by Yankees ace Gerrit Cole in the second game of the ALCS.

Bibee (12-8) earned the win Tuesday versus Cincinnati, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out seven. The Cleveland starter ended his 2024 regular season on a high note, securing his career-high 12th quality start while requiring only 88 pitches. After failing to secure seven Ks five times in his previous six outings, Bibee reached that mark for the 13th time this season, generating an impressive 16 whiffs. The only blemish on his performance came via an RBI single by Spencer Steer in the fourth. The 25-year-old Bibee has anchored the Guardians' rotation this season with a 3.47 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 187:44 K:BB across 173.2 innings and will feature prominently in the team's upcoming playoff run.

Bibee (11-7) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings. Bibee pitched well enough to keep the Guardians in the game but received no help from his offense, as the Guardians were shut out by Jack Flaherty and the Dodgers' bullpen. Bibee blanked them through three frames, but the Dodgers were able to push a run across in the fourth after Mookie Betts led off with a triple and then Shohei Ohtani added on in the fifth with a solo home run. Bibee's now issued eight walks over his last three starts and has reached six innings just once over his last six outings. For the year, he owns a 3.56 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 166:41 K:BB in 154 innings. He lines up to face the Rays at home over the weekend his next time out.

Bibee (10-4) allowed one run on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 5.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Twins. Bibee hadn't pitched since July 29 due to a shoulder issue, but he was able to avoid a stint on the injured list. He came up an out short of a quality start Sunday, throwing 58 of 84 pitches for strikes to earn his 10th win of the year and his third victory in his last four starts. He's at a 3.39 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 137:31 K:BB through 127.1 innings over 23 starts this season. Assuming he doesn't have a recurrence of the shoulder issue, he's lined up for a road start in Milwaukee next weekend.
