The Marlins designated Lindgren for assignment Wednesday. Lindgren's stint on the Marlins' 40-man and 28-man rosters lasted just under a week, with the 28-year-old ultimately being deemed expendable with Miami needing to clear room for Ryan Weathers (finger), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday versus the Dodgers. The right-handed Lindgren went unused out of the Miami bullpen and will likely head back to Triple-A Jacksonville if he goes unclaimed off waivers.
