Dingler was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies due to an illness, Evan Woodbery of MLive.comreports. Dingler is one of a handful of Tigers players feeling under the weather and won't start as scheduled Tuesday. The 25-year-old will be available off the bench and should rejoin the starting nine within the next couple days.

Dingler is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Mariners, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports. Jake Rogers will make a second straight start at catcher after Dingler had started both of the two games prior to that. The two have split the catching duties evenly, with both getting seven starts apiece since Dingler was promoted from Triple-A Toledo on July 29.
