Tigers pitcher Randy Wolf allows six runs Sunday

Detroit Tigers pitcher Randy Wolf failed to get out of the second inning against the Twins on Sunday, giving up six runs, four of which were earned, on seven hits and a walk.  He has given up 46 hits and 25 earned runs (28 runs total) in 33 2/3 innings since his arrival in Detroit. It's fair to say he's been a placeholder in the Detroit lineup and at 39 is nearing the end of the line.

Tigers SP Randy Wolf turns in quality start, but can't get win

Detroit Tigers starter Randy Wolf went seven innings and allowed just three earned runs Monday night in the second half of a doubleheader against the White Sox. It was a stronger performance than his last few and he put his team in line for a win. Unfortunately, the offense came up short in a 3-2 loss. On a brighter note, he gave up just five hits and struck out six. But he still allowed four walks in the loss -- it's the second straight game where he has allowed four free passes. His pitches looked a lot livelier than his past few outings, but it wasn't enough to get the win. Or to be fantasy relevant.

Tigers SP Randy Wolf clobbered in Kansas City

Veteran starter Randy Wolf provided encouragement to the Detroit Tigers with his first two starts. He provided discouragement with his effort Wednesday in Kansas City. Wolf was pounded for eight runs on eight hits in just 3 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out three. He escaped no inning unscathed. The big blows against him were home runs by Ben Zobrist and Lorenzo Cain, who added a two-run double. Wolf had his ERA soar from 2.57 to 6.11 with the miserable performance. He is 0-3 on the season.
