Pedro Ciriaco was traded to Miami on Friday in exchange for Erik Jokisch, John Blake of TexasRangers.com reports.Ciriaco has spent all of the 2016 season with Triple-A Round Rock where he's compiled a .268/.297/.320 slash line over 51 games. The 30-year-old will likely head to Triple-A New Orleans now where he'll resume his season in new scenery.

Atlanta Braves infielder Pedro Ciriaco came through with the game's only run in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Mets. Ciriaco came off the bench in the seventh inning with a runner on second. The light-hitting Ciriaco blooped a single into center field, allowing the only run to cross the plate. Despite getting limited playing time, Ciriaco has been invaluable for the Braves this year. Atlanta Braves infielder Pedro Ciriaco is in the starting lineup for the second time this season, as he will be the starting third baseman on Tuesday against the Rays. Ciriaco started Sunday's game at shortstop, but will slide over to the hot corner with Phil Gosselin lost for at least two months with a thumb injury.
