Tigers' Miguel Gonzalez: Back with Tigers on minor league deal
Miguel Gonzalez has signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers that includes an invite to spring training.Gonzalez enjoyed a five-game cup of coffee with the White Sox in 2013 but has been stuck at the Triple-A level ever since. He hit just .243/.298/.327 with Triple-A Toledo in 2016 and will likely play out his entire age-26 season as minor league depth, barring several injuries behind the plate in Detroit.

Tigers' Miguel Gonzalez: Collects one single
Miguel Gonzalez went 1-for-2 with a run scored against Louisville on Sunday. The 25-year-old is batting .267/.313/.467 through five games with Triple-A Toledo this season. Gonzalez has only recorded nine at-bats in the majors, all of them occurring in 2013 with the White Sox. Besides that brief stint, he's spent most of his days between Double-A and Triple-A. Last season, Gonzalez batted .242 with two home runs and 26 RBI during a combined 69 games (38 in Triple-A, 31 in Double-A) in the minors. It'd likely take a plethora of injuries for him to get called up to the majors this year.
