Sheeets closes career with brief start

Braves right-hander Ben Sheets, who was making what he had already decided would be the final start of his career, lasted only one inning Wednesday at Pittsburgh, but it was perhaps his best inning of the season. He hit 96 miles per hour on the radar gun, recorded two strikeouts in a perfect frame. He wasn't expected to go more than two innings in the contest.
