Jean Segura: Cut by Baltimore
The Orioles released Jean Segura on Sunday.Segura signed a minor-league deal with the Orioles on Aug. 9 but created little momentum for a September call-up, as he slashed just .137/.250/.196 with one stolen base across 60 plate appearances in 14 games for Triple-A Norfolk. After struggling in Norfolk and producing a lowly .556 OPS over 85 games in the majors with Miami in 2023, the 34-year-old infielder's time in the big leagues may have come and gone.
