Josh Satin: Retires after nine seasons
Josh Satin has decided to retire from baseball, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.Satin signed a minor league contract with the Padres in March but struggled at Triple-A El Paso this season, batting just .182 over 18 games. The 31-year-old was a sixth round pick by the Mets in 2008 and rose quickly through the organization, playing a career-high 75 games in the majors in 2013. However, he was unable to continue his success and had spent the last two seasons in the minors.
