Braves option Jake Brigham to Triple-A; DFA David Carpenter
The Atlanta Braves optioned pitcher Jake Brigham to Triple-A on Friday, the team announced. Brigham went 0-1 with a 5.59 ERA in 9 2/3 innings this season. Meanwhile, the team designated pitcher David Carpenter for assignment. Carpenter produced a 7.36 ERA over 3 2/3 innings.

Braves recall pitchers Arodys Vizcaino, David Carpenter
The Atlanta Braves promoted pitchers Arodys Vizcaino and David Carpenter from Triple-A following Sunday's loss to the Phillies, the team announed. Vizcaino had a a 5.40 ERA in five innings of work for the Cubs last season, while Carpenter has a career 5.23 ERA in 43 innings.
