Kendry Flores' minor league contract was voided after he failed a physical on Thursday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.The 25-year-old was sent to have an MRI earlier in the week after experiencing some shoulder discomfort, and it turned out to be pretty serious, as the St. Louis Cardinals decided to void his non-guaranteed contract after his physical results came in. He was a non-roster invitee for the Red Birds, and although he was likely an organizational depth piece, his hopes of catching on with another team this year now seem pretty unlikely until he's healthy.
