Chone Figgins: To retire from baseball Monday
Chone Figgins will sign a one-day contract with the Angels on Monday and announce his retirement, Eric Kay of the Angels reports.Figgins appeared in 38 games for the Dodgers in 2014, but he did not play last season, and has decided to officially hang up the cleats. He will retire with the team he spent his first eight seasons with and saw his greatest success. Figgins appeared in 1,282 games over 12 big league seasons, hitting .276 with 35 home runs, 403 RBI, and 341 stolen bases.
