However, the club was pleased with how Frelick looked at the hot corner and like the option of using him there, even if it might not be on a regular basis.

Brewers' Sal Frelick: Diagnosed with bone bruise
Sal Frelick was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left hip Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The Milwaukee Brewers believe Frelick was able to avoid any structural damage as a result of his collision with the wall in right field Friday, so the 24-year-old will avoid the injured list for now and remain eligible to play in the NL Wild Card Series. Brewers' Sal Frelick: Set for MRI on hip
Sal Frelick will receive an MRI on his left hip Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy indicated after Friday's game that initial X-rays on Frelick's hip were inconclusive after the 24-year-old outfielder left the contest following a collision with a cut-out portion of the right field wall. The results of his MRI will give the team a better idea of his status for the rest of the weekend series and the start of the postseason. If Frelick ends up having to miss time, Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell would likely take on everyday roles in Milwaukee's outfield.

Brewers' Sal Frelick: Resting against lefty
Sal Frelick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.Frelick will take a seat for the second game in a row, this time against a left-handed pitcher (Brandon Williamson) after he had been excluded from the lineup Saturday versus right-handed opening pitcher Fernando Cruz. The outfielder fouled a ball off his shin Wednesday against the Giants, and though he returned to the lineup two days later and played both ends of a doubleheader with the Reds, Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy may just have wanted to exercise some extra caution with Frelick by giving him two straight days off. September call-up Brewer HIcklen will step in for Frelick as the Brewers' starter in right field Sunday.
