Orioles' Jacob Webb: Beginning assignment soon
Manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that Jacob Webb (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk within the next several days, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.Webb landed on the injured list Aug. 7 with elbow inflammation and has been throwing since Aug. 17, and he has now been given the green light to return to a competitive environment. The Baltimore Orioles skipper didn't say exactly how many appearances Webb will make in the minors before returning to Baltimore's bullpen, though it shouldn't take him very long to build back up.
