The San Diego Padres optioned Sean Reynolds to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.Reynolds has impressed since coming up from Triple-A on Aug. 11, allowing just one earned run while posting an 18:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings. Despite his great performance, the Padres will now send him back to the minors in favor of Alek Jacob, who will provide the team with a fresh arm out of the bullpen.
