The Padres optioned Reynolds to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday. Reynolds has impressed since coming up from Triple-A on Aug. 11, allowing just one earned run while posting an 18:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings. Despite his great performance, the Padres will now send him back to the minors in favor of Alek Jacob, who will provide the team with a fresh arm out of the bullpen. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Reynolds return to San Diego before the end of the season.

The Padres recalled Reynolds from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday. Right-hander Jhony Brito was optioned to El Paso to clear room in the bullpen for Reynolds, who previously spent two weeks with the Padres back in July. During his prior stint in the big leagues, Reynolds made two appearances, striking out three over 1.2 scoreless innings.

The Padres optioned Reynolds to Triple-A El Paso on Friday. Reynolds will give up his spot on the 26-man roster to Adam Mazur, who'll start Friday's game against Baltimore. Reynolds appeared in two games with the Padres after being called up July 12, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

The Padres called up Reynolds from Triple-A El Paso on Friday. Reynolds is set to join the big-league roster with Wandy Peralta (groin) headed to the IL in a corresponding move. Reynolds was traded to San Diego from the Marlins last August and has appeared in 29 games with El Paso this season, three of which were starts. He'll pitch out of the bullpen for the Padres, and he'll be making his MLB debut if he gets into a game.

Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A El Paso by the Padres on Saturday. Reynolds struck out four and didn't allow a hit over two scoreless Cactus League innings but is nonetheless an early cut. The 25-year-old really struggled at El Paso down the stretch last season after being acquired from the Marlins in the Garrett Cooper trade. A better start in 2024 will help him push for his first big-league appearance.
