    Delmon Young: Arrested in Miami on Sunday

    Delmon Young was arrested in Miami on Sunday night, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.The 30-year-old was released by the Orioles in July and has been a free agent since then. It's currently unclear whether he'll be charged or if he'll be disciplined by the MLB, but this situation won't help him attract potential suitors for his services.

    Orioles OF Delmon Young searching for consistency at the dish

    Baltimore Orioles outfielder Delmon Young has had a rough go of things at the plate so far in the month of June. In seven games this month, the veteran is batting .214 (6 for 28) with one RBI and zero extra-base hits. Young finished May on a hot streak, batting .333 over his final 10 games of the month. He's been seeing some more regular playing time following the recent trade of Alejandro De Aza, but he's now trying to find some consistency at the plate as his season batting average has dropped to a .286 clip.

    Orioles' Delmon Young slugs two homers Sunday vs. Rays

    Baltimore Orioles right fielder Delmon Young went 3 for 4 with a walk and two solo home runs in his team's 9-5 loss to the Rays on Sunday. Young opened the scoring with a first-inning blast then came back with another in the third inning to tie the game at 2-2. He hadn't homered in 115 at-bats coming into the game before racking up home runs in consecutive at-bats. Young has hit .303/.331/.395 with 13 RBI in 119 at-bats.

    Orioles' Travis Snider starting in right field for Game 2 Thursday

    Baltimore Orioles outfielder Travis Snider is starting in right field and hitting second for the nightcap of Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox. Snider was the final out as a pinch-hitter in the first game, which the Orioles dropped 3-2.  Snider will take the place of Delmon Young, who went 2 for 4 in the first game, but is not in the lineup for the second game.

    Orioles OF Travis Snider starts in left field on Wednesday

    Following a three-game absence from the lineup, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Travis Snider is starting in left field on Wednesday against the Astros. For the first time this season, Snider will bat in the No. 2 hole in the lineup.  Snider has been mostly a part-time player this season, splitting time in the outfield with David Lough, Delmon Young and Steve Pearce, who is starting in right field on Wednesday.  This season, Snider is hitting .270/.356/.371 this season with four doubles, and one home run.

    Orioles' Delmon Young gets day off on Wednesday vs. Blue Jays

    After starting six straight games, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Delmon Young is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays. Young has just five hits over those six games, so manager Buck Showalter thought it best to give him a day off (he actually gets two days off with the team off on Thursday). David Lough will take over in left field on Wednesday, while Alejandro De Aza covers right field. Adam Jones will hit cleanup in the batting order.

    After being held out of the starting lineup the last two games for the Baltimore Orioles, Alejandro De Aza was back in there for manager Buck Showalter on Wednesday against the Mets. De Aza started in right field and hit leadoff against Mets' starter Jacob deGrom. De Aza has been scuffling at the plate lately, collecting just three hits in his last 24 at-bats. But he returns to the lineup Wednesday, affording Delmon Young a day of rest.

    Baltimore Orioles torrid designated hitter Delmon Young has not only earned at-bats, but he has now earned a promotion in the lineup. He is batting third for the first time this season Monday against the White Sox. Young has been on a tremendous tear to sweeten his slash line to .368/.400/.424. He is 13-for-29 since April 14 and has six multi-hit performances in his last eight games.
