Anderson won't start Tuesday against the Brewers as previously scheduled, as he's expected to be traded to the Phillies, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

A replacement starter has yet to be announced. The deal is not quite official, but the Pirates have no need to risk the lefty getting hurt Tuesday with the trade seemingly close to the finish line. The specifics of the move have not yet been announced. Anderson hasn't been anything special, and his spin rate has fallen noticeably since the league began cracking down on foreign substances, but the bar to improve the back end of the Phillies' roster is quite low for a contender. While Anderson could have a better shot at wins due to increased run support, that could be more than offset by a big downgrade in park factors if he does indeed move to Philadelphia.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Rogers (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Rogers was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after experiencing lower-back muscle spasms, but per Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com, manager Don Mattingly expressed optimism that he'll be ready to be activated after the minimum 10 days. The Marlins have made it known that they intend to monitor the workloads of their young pitchers carefully in the second half, so Rogers could still be a candidate to have some of his starts skipped or have his innings restricted over the final two months of the season even if he stays healthy.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Tuesday that Lopez (shoulder) will initiate throwing off flat ground later this week, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Lopez seems to have made some progress in his recovery from a right rotator cuff strain since being placed on the injured list a week and a half ago, but he still has several more hurdles to clear in the rehab process before the Marlins will consider reinstating him. At this point, fantasy managers shouldn't bank on Lopez returning until mid-August at the earliest, which may make it difficult to justify holding him in leagues with limited IL or bench spots.

Eickhoff will be recalled to start Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Eickhoff was DFA'd by New York on July 20, and per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, he re-signed with the Mets on Tuesday after electing free agency earlier in the week. Eichoff has made four previous appearances (three starts) in the majors this season, posting a 4.96 ERA and 9:5 K:BB across 16.1 innings. He most recently lasted just 3.2 innings in his latest outing against the Reds on July 19, but he could have an outside chance of qualifying for a potential win Tuesday.

Peterson revealed Tuesday via his personal Instagram account that he underwent surgery to repair a fractured bone in his right foot, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Assuming the procedure went as anticipated, Peterson will have a chance to make it back from the 60-day injured list at some point in September, but he likely won't have enough time to build back up for a starting role. Before suffering the toe injury, Peterson made 15 starts for the Mets, posting a 2-6 record, 5.54 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.

Miley didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Cubs after allowing three runs on seven hits and five walks while fanning two across 4.1 innings.

Miley's command was all over the place Monday, and the five walks represented a season-high mark for the veteran left-hander. He also ended a streak of nine straight outings in which he completed at least five innings. The southpaw is expected to make his next start during the Reds' weekend series against the Mets in New York.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Reds after allowing five runs on nine hits and two walks while fanning four across 4.1 innings.

Hendricks entered Monday's contest carrying a 2.19 ERA in three July starts, but the wheels came off in this one. He wasn't comfortable at any point of the game, resulting in the first time in his last 14 starts that he couldn't complete at least five innings. The right-hander will attempt to deliver a bounce-back performance in his next start, scheduled for the upcoming weekend series against the Nationals on the road.

The Cardinals optioned Oviedo to Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

After giving up three runs on five hits and six walks over 4.1 innings to take a no-decision in his start Monday versus the Pirates, Oviedo will be sent to the minors to refine his control. Due to upcoming off days Thursday and next Monday, the Cardinals will be able to get by with a four-man rotation until Aug. 7 versus the Royals. Oviedo could be called up from Triple-A that day to serve as the fifth starter.

Marquez (8-8) took the loss Monday, giving up four runs (three earned) on eight hits over 6.1 innings in a 6-2 loss to the Angels. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

A Joshua Fuentes error salvaged a quality start for the right-hander, who tossed 73 of 107 pitches for strikes before exiting. Marquez is up to 14 quality starts on the season, including 10 in his last 12 outings -- a stretch during which he's posted a stellar 2.38 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 79:17 K:BB over 79.1 innings.

Senzatela (COVID-19 injured list) completed a bullpen session Monday at the Rockies' spring training facility in Arizona and is expected to make a minor-league rehab start this weekend, the Associated Press reports.

Senzatela has yet to make his second-half debut after he was placed on the COVID-19 IL on July 16, just hours before he was scheduled to start against the Dodgers. While he's apparently cleared all the protocols, Senzatela will need some additional time to build up his arm following the shutdown. Assuming his rehab start goes as expected, Senzatela should be on track to slot back into Colorado's rotation next week.
