  • Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Activated and starting

Senzatela (knee) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start against the Padres on Monday, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Senzatela has been cleared to join the big-league rotation after completing a two-start minor-league rehab stint with Triple-A Albuquerque. The right-hander last started for the Isotopes on Thursday, so he could be working with restrictions in his 2019 big-league debut seeing as he'll only be pitching on three days' rest. In 13 starts and 10 relief appearances last season, Senzatela posted a combined 4.38 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 69:30 K:BB in 90.1 innings of work.

  • Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Activated ahead of start

Kershaw (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start against the Reds on Monday.

Kershaw is primed to make his 2019 big-league debut after getting through a pair of minor-league rehab starts with no issues, allowing four runs while striking out 12 in 10.1 innings of work during those appearances. The veteran southpaw is "built up" for 90 pitches in his first start back, per J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News. Jamie Schultz was sent to the minors in a corresponding roster move.

  • Tyler Anderson SP | LAA

Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Rehabbing in Arizona

Anderson (knee) reported to the Rockies' spring-training facility in Arizona last week to begin his rehab program, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Anderson was placed on the 10-day injured list April 7 and won't be ready to return when first eligible Monday. The Rockies haven't provided a timeline for his return from his bout with left knee inflammation, but the fact that he's not traveling with the team implies that he may be sidelined for multiple weeks. Colorado has yet to announce a replacement in the rotation for Anderson's scheduled turn Monday against the Padres, though Antonio Senzatela (knee) looks like the leading candidate to fill the opening.

  • Mike Soroka SP | ARI

Braves' Mike Soroka: Unlikely to make spot start

The Braves no longer appear to be considering promoting Soroka from Triple-A Gwinnett to make a spot start Thursday against the Diamondbacks or Friday against the Indians, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

There was some thought the Braves might want to build in an extra day of rest for their rotation members this week, but the team will instead use Monday's off-day as a means of keeping all five hurlers on their normal pitching schedules. As a result, Soroka should make his third start for Gwinnett on Wednesday, while the two new rotation additions at the big-league level -- Touki Toussaint and Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) -- line up for turns Thursday against the Diamondbacks and Saturday against the Indians, respectively.

  • Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Strong bullpen session

Martinez (shoulder) threw 20 fastballs without setbacks in his Friday bullpen session at Busch Stadium, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.

Manager Mike Shildt received encouraging reports from the session, which marked Martinez's first time back on the mound since the opening week of spring camp. The right-hander is slated to engage in another 20-pitch session Monday. If that also goes off without a hitch, Martinez will next begin introducing off-speed pitches and will simulate breaks between innings by stopping at various intervals during the sessions.

  • Julio Teheran SP | BAL

Braves' Julio Teheran: Fires six strong in win

Teheran (2-1) yielded one run on six hits and two walks across six innings, taking the win over the Mets. He struck out six batters and allowed a homer.

Teheran was terrific Sunday, with J.D. Davis' second-inning homer marking the only run he allowed. The 28-year old righty lowered his ERA to 4.71 in 21 innings alongside a 23:10 K:BB. Teheran has won two consecutive starts for the first time since early May of last season. He'll look to make it three straight on Saturday at Cleveland.

  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Mets' Jacob deGrom: Takes second straight loss

DeGrom (2-2) allowed three runs on four walks and five hits in five innings Sunday, taking the loss against Atlanta. He struck out nine batters and yielded two home runs.

After dominating seemingly every outing since the start of 2018, deGrom has given up nine runs over nine innings in his last two outings -- including five homers -- following 13 scoreless frames to start the year. The reigning NL Cy Young winner was inefficient, needing a whopping 114 pitches Sunday. He'll look to break the losing streak at St. Louis on Saturday.

  • Pirates' Jameson Taillon: No-decision in quality start

Taillon allowed three runs in six innings Sunday but wasn't involved in the decision against the Nationals. He gave up seven hits and one walk, striking out four.

He's yet to record a win after four starts, but he's thrown fairly well with a 3.43 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 21 innings. Taillon has already permitted more unearned runs (six) than in his entire career (five) prior to 2019. Accordingly, team defense is a sticking point and doesn't figure to improve any time soon. Taillon threw only 80 pitches Sunday. The team might have limited his work due the batted ball he took to the head in Chicago on Monday. There was no postgame report of injury, however. He's set to face the Giants at PNC Park on Saturday.

  • Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Turns in strong outing

Velasquez surrendered one run on two hits and three walks while striking out four over six innings Sunday against Miami. He didn't factor into the decision.

Velasquez gave up a solo homer in the sixth inning, but another run wouldn't be scored until the 14th inning of Sunday's marathon ballgame. The 26-year-old has been impressive through his first three appearances of 2019 and owns a 2.25 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with eight punchouts over 12 innings, though he's yet to notch his first win.

  • Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Yields four runs

DeSclafani allowed four runs on five hits and three walks in four innings during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. He struck out three and took the no-decision.

Things got ugly from the start with DeSclafani serving up a three-run homer to Marcell Ozuna and a solo shot to Tyler O'Neill in the first inning. He settled in and the Reds later tied the game before his bullpen gave the game away. His ERA sits at a sky-high 7.43 with 16 strikeouts in 13.1 innings. DeSclafani will face San Diego on Friday.
