O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Tyler Heineman will get the nod at catcher while O'Hoppe rests after starting the previous two games. Dating back to the start of June, O'Hoppe is hitting .286 with two home runs, 10 RBI and five runs in 20 games.

Ashcraft (elbow) will receive another scan on his UCL on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Ashcraft had a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right elbow at the beginning of the month, so the scan will presumably gauge the healing of the ligament. The Reds placed him on the 60-day injured list May 29, making him ineligible to return until late July.

Walton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Walton will hit the bench for the matinee game after he started at second base in each of the Angels' previous three tilts while going a collective 2-for-11 with a double and a 0:5 BB:K. Oswald Peraza will replace him at the keystone Sunday, but Walton may still be viewed as the Angels' preferred option at the position after posting an .847 OPS since being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 22.

Siri is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Siri returned from the paternity list Saturday but has been left out of the lineup for the Angels' final two games of the weekend. Though he had been serving as the team's everyday outfielder in place of the injured Mike Trout (hamstring) prior to going on paternity leave, Siri may now have to play second fiddle at the position to Josh Lowe. Since being called up from Triple-A Salt lake when Siri was deactivated Wednesday, Lowe has gone 4-for-10 with a stolen base and a run.

Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

After making a surprise return from the injured list Monday, Soler served as the Angels' designated hitter for each of the team's ensuing five games and went 4-for-16 with a pair of home runs, four walks, four RBI and three runs. He doesn't appear to have experienced any setbacks with his oblique injury since returning to action, so Soler's absence from the lineup Sunday is likely just a planned rest day.

Muncy will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Angels.

He'll remain in the starting nine for an eighth straight game after going 5-for-23 (.217 average) with a home run, three walks, a stolen base, four RBI and two runs over the prior seven contests. Muncy looks like he'll have a fairly clear path to an everyday role at the hot corner while Zack Gelof (hand) is on the injured list.

Gonzalez (shoulder) is expected to be reinstated from the injured list ahead of Sunday's game against the Yankees, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Gonzalez has been on the shelf all season after undergoing shoulder surgery in March, but he's good to join the Red Sox after going 2-for-18 with two walks and a homer during his six-game rehab assignment. The 29-year-old had a career-best .826 OPS in 96 regular-season games last season and could carve out regular playing time in a Boston infield that is without Trevor Story (abdomen), Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm), Marcelo Mayer (forearm) and Nick Sogard (oblique).

Williamson (shoulder) injured his finger while working out, and his rehab program has been pushed back by about 10 days as a result, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

The shoulder injury that sent Williamson to the injured list April 30 remains the primary concern. By the time Williamson completes a rehab assignment and is ready to return from the 60-day IL, the Reds likely won't have a rotation spot available to him, as Hunter Greene (elbow) is expected back from the shelf during the upcoming week.

Crooks is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

The left-handed-hitting Crooks is on the bench for the fourth time in five games, with three of those absences coming against right-handed starting pitchers. He's mustered an uninspiring .157/.246/.255 slash line over 57 plate appearances since being called up from Triple-A Memphis on May 29. Until Crooks begins to pick up the pace at the plate, he could be in store for a limited role as part of a three-way timeshare at catcher with Pedro Pages and Ivan Herrera.

Baldwin is batting fifth as the designated hitter Sunday against the Giants.

It's the 10th start in 11 games since Baldwin returned from the injured list in mid-June. The 25-year-old homered in his first game back from the oblique strain but overall has struggled, going 2-for-39 with a walk and 20 strikeouts. That poor stretch has lowered his OPS for the season from .931 to .813 through 58 contests.
