McCain (bruised lungs) took part in drills during Sunday's practice but will not participate in the club's scrimmage, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Philadelphia has been working back its 2024 first-round pick after a hard fall during Wednesday's preseason game against the Nets. McCain was sent to the hospital due to the fall, but he has showed signs of improvement while participating in on-court activities and drills. While the 20-year-old won't suit up for the team's scrimmage, his participation in drills bodes well for a potential return during the 76ers' regular-season opener against the Bucks on Wednesday.
