The 76ers converted Dowtin's two-way contract to a standard deal Thursday.
Dowtin has been playing for the G League's Delaware Blue Coats this year and signed a two-way deal with the team in early March. He impressed for the G League club and will be rewarded with a standard contract late in the regular season.
