Embiid (illness) is out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Embiid wasn't previously on the injury report, so this is an unfortunate development for his fantasy managers. He was dealing with an illness back on Monday against Miami, yet he posted 26 points (10-25 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one block in 34 minutes. Embiid himself posted on social media that he's going to play, but several beat reporters have shut down that notion. Adem Bona and Andre Drummond will likely pick up some minutes with Embiid on the shelf.
