George and Joel Embiid (rest) will both be held out of the 76ers' preseason opener Monday. George relayed Friday that he expects to have his playing time restricted during the preseason as he prepares for the start of the regular season, per Austin Krell of USA Today. As a member of the Clippers last season, George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals across 33.8 minutes per game.
