James will start in Wednesday's game against Brooklyn.
With Kon Knueppel (hamstring) and Coby White (ankle) sidelined to begin the year, James will get an opportunity to start versus the Nets. The 23-year-old started 19 times in 2025-26, averaging 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 29.1 minutes per contest in those appearances.
