Towns notched 22 points (7-16 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and a block across 30 minutes in Friday's 118-117 preseason loss to the Wizards.
Towns was traded from the Timberwolves to the Knicks in late September and figures to be a cornerstone for New York in 2024-25, presumably starting and center and operating as the team's second option on offense behind Jalen Brunson. There will be some adjustment period, but Towns should eventually adjust to playing in a different environment after playing each of his previous nine seasons with Minnesota.
