Knicks' Josh Hart: Questionable for Friday
Hart (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game in Detroit.
Hart sat out Wednesday's win over the Nuggets with the ankle ailment, but there's a chance he'll be able to get back out there for Friday's game. If Hart returns, Jordan Clarkson would head back to the second unit, and Landry Shamet's minutes would dip.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Expected to play Friday
Anunoby is probable for Friday's game against the Pistons due to right toe soreness.
Anunoby hasn't sat out since Dec. 23 and is on track to play Friday. Over his last seven appearances, the two-way forward has averaged 21.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 34.6 minutes per game while shooting a scorching 50.0 percent from three-point land.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Iffy to face Detroit
Towns (eye laceration) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons.
This is a new injury for Towns, but the questionable tag suggests that he's day-to-day. If Towns is unable to play Friday, the Knicks will likely lean more on Mitchell Robinson. Ariel Hukporti would be a candidate for more run as well.

Knicks' Miles McBride: To undergo surgery
McBride will undergo surgery for a core muscle injury and may be sidelined until the playoffs, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
After missing New York's last five games due to what the team called left ankle injury management, it has been revealed that McBride is dealing with a sports hernia. The 25-year-old guard is without a clear timetable for a return, but he shouldn't be expected to return until early April at the very earliest. With McBride sidelined, Tyler Kolek, Jose Alvarado (recently traded) and Jordan Clarkson are candidates for increased playing time.

Knicks' Jose Alvarado: Traded to New York
The Pelicans traded Alvarado to the Knicks on Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Dalen Terry and two second-round picks will head to New Orleans.
Alvarado was heavily linked to the Knicks in recent weeks, so it's not a surprise to see this come to fruition. The Knicks do have a quality backup point guard behind Jalen Brunson in Miles McBride (ankle), but the latter has struggled to stay healthy. Alvarado will bolster New York's backcourt depth after averaging 7.9 points, 3.1 assists and 0.9 steals in 21.9 minutes across 41 regular-season appearances with the Pelicans. He's questionable to make his debut Friday against the Pistons.

Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Gets light run in double-OT win
McCullar (calf) played two minutes in Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime win over the Nuggets, recording zero points (0-1 FG), two assists and one rebound.
The two-way player hadn't seen action for the Knicks or their G League affiliate since Jan. 17 while managing a calf issue, but he made enough improvement in his recovery to join the parent club ahead of Wednesday's contest. He handled a light role off the bench, checking into the game four times late in the first, second and fourth quarters as well as the first overtime period. McCullar is unlikely to be included in the rotation in the Knicks' next game Friday in Detroit, especially if trade-deadline pickup Dalen Terry and/or Josh Hart (ankle) and Miles McBride (ankle) return from injuries.

Knicks' Landry Shamet: Stays hot from downtown
Shamet registered 16 points (6-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime win over the Nuggets.
The journeyman wing has caught fire from long range in February. Shamet has drained at least four three-pointers in three straight games, a stretch in which he's averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 threes, 1.7 boards and 1.7 assists in 27.7 minutes a contest from the second unit while shooting 52.8 percent from the floor and 53.8 percent (14-for-26) from beyond the arc.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Hits for 20 in Wednesday's win
Anunoby logged 20 points (7-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and four assists over 48 minutes during Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime victory over the Nuggets.
The 28-year-old forward continues to be dialed in. Anunoby has drained multiple three-pointers in seven straight games and scored at least 20 points five times during that heater, during which he has averaged 21.7 points, 5.4 boards, 3.1 threes, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor and a blistering 50.0 percent from long distance.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Drops fourth straight double-double
Towns ended with 24 points (9-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime victory over the Nuggets.
It was the fourth straight double-double for Towns and his NBA-leading 34th of the season. The veteran center also leads the league with 11.9 rebounds per game, just ahead of former teammate Rudy Gobert (11.3 per game), and over the last 15 games Towns is averaging 16.5 points, 12.9 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.4 threes and 1.5 combined steals-plus-blocks.

Knicks' Dalen Terry: Traded to New York
The Bulls traded Terry to the Knicks on Wednesday in exchange for Guerschon Yabusele, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Terry's stint in Chicago will end after three-plus seasons. The versatile 23-year-old wing will get a fresh start with the Knicks after appearing in 34 games and averaging 3.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 11.1 minutes with the Bulls this season. He'll likely be competing with Landry Shamet, Jordan Clarkson and Mohamed Diawara for minutes off the bench.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Drops 42 points in double-OT win
Brunson finished Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime win over the Nuggets with 42 points (14-27 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 9-11 FT), nine assists, eight rebounds and two steals over 47 minutes.
It was a vintage performance out of Brunson on Wednesday, with the All-Star guard coming alive with 15 third-quarter points before scoring 10 points in the second OT frame to propel the Knicks to a tough victory. It was his third game of 40-plus points this season and the first time he scored at least 30 points since Jan. 24 against the 76ers. Things won't get easier for Brunson and the Knicks as they hit the road to face the East-leading Pistons on Friday.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Checks back in
Towns (forehead) has returned to Wednesday's game against Denver, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
Towns and Spencer Jones collided earlier in the game, which resulted in Towns sustaining a gash above his right eye. He briefly went back to the locker room after the collision, but he's been given the green light to return. It's unclear if the injury required stitches or if he was simply being checked for a concussion.

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Goes to locker room after collision
Towns went back to the locker room after sustaining a cut above his right eye during a collision with Spencer Jones in Wednesday's game against Denver, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
Towns and Jones were both bleeding after the collision, but it seems Towns got the worst of the exchange. The center remained in the game with a bandage over the cut to shoot a pair of free throws, but he then exited the game and went back to the locker room. While Towns is on the sidelines, look for Mitchell Robinson to see most of the center minutes.

Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Rejoins parent club
McCullar (calf) will be active for Wednesday's game against Denver after being recalled from the G League's Westchester Knicks.
McCullar has been tending to a calf injury recently and hasn't made an appearance for New York or Westchester since Jan. 17, but he's apparently healthy enough to provide depth on the wing for the parent club Wednesday. Over his 10 appearances with New York this season, McCullar has averaged 2.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 8.6 minutes per contest.

Knicks' Jordan Clarkson: Making first start of season
Clarkson will start Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
Clarkson will make his first start of the campaign due to the absences of Miles McBride (ankle) and Josh Hart (ankle). Clarkson is on pace to average career lows in points (9.4) and minutes (19.3), but he's still capable of scoring points in a hurry on any given night.

Knicks' Pacome Dadiet: Back with parent club
The Knicks recalled Dadiet (ankle) from the G League's Westchester Knicks on Wednesday.
Dadiet hadn't played in either of Westchester's last two games while managing an ankle injury, but he's apparently healthy enough to rejoin the parent club ahead of its matchup with the Nuggets. The 2024 first-round pick will serve as depth at forward and is unlikely to be featured in the rotation.

Knicks' Mohamed Diawara: Good to go
Diawarwa (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against Denver, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
Diawara was labeled questionable due to an ankle injury he sustained Tuesday against Washington, but the 20-year-old forward is feeling well enough to suit up Wednesday. With Josh Hart (ankle) sidelined,, there could be a few extra minutes available for Diawara against Denver.

Knicks' Josh Hart: No-go Wednesday
Hart (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Nuggets,Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Hart was previously considered questionable due to a sprained left ankle, and he'll be unavailable for Thursday's game because of the issue. Hart sustained the injury during Tuesday's win over the Wizards. His next chance to play will come Friday at Detroit. In the meantime, look for Landry Shamet and Jordan Clarkson to absorb Hart's vacated minutes.
