The Suns signed Jones (back) to a one-year, $3.3 million deal Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Suns have made it a priority to sign experienced players to boost their backcourt depth, adding Jones and Monte Morris this offseason. Jones is coming off a career-best year, during which he averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 29.3 minutes per game. While the 28-year-old will likely not get the same opportunities he did with the Wizards, his ability to score and move the rock will be invaluable for the Suns.
