Bassey will start Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Lakers with Draymond Green resting, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Bassey will get an opportunity with Golden State's first unit while Green sits out. The temporary lineup adjustment could provide Bassey with additional minutes and opportunities to contribute on the glass and defensively, though his role will change once Green returns.
