Payton supplied eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 27 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 loss to the Cavaliers.
After missing Wednesday's game against the Spurs for injury maintenance, Payton responded with a terrific line Thursday. It's worth noting that Stephen Curry (knee) is targeting a return Sunday against Houston, so there's a chance Payton's workload decreases moving forward.
