Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Wednesday that McGruder is in the "late stages" of concussion protocol, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
McGruder missed the Warriors' preseason opener against the Lakers due to a concussion. If he's unable to suit up for Friday's rematch with Los Angeles, his next chance to do so will be Sunday's preseason matchup with Sacramento.
