Capela totaled 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 120-97 loss to Golden State. Capela is making the most of his minutes in recent weeks, scoring in double digits in all but one of his last six appearances while posting three double-doubles in that stretch. That said, Capela is splitting time at center with Onyeka Okongwu, and that's undoubtedly limiting his upside. The veteran big man is averaging 11.9 points and 9.1 boards per game since the beginning of November, and he'll remain valuable in most formats as long as he remains in the starting lineup. For now, that's not expected to change.

Capela provided eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 20 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Capela played 20 minutes compared to Onyeka Okongwu, and it doesn't help the veteran's case that he was severely outplayed as well. Despite holding onto the starting role, his minutes have suffered in recent games, as he's played 22 or fewer minutes in four of his last five outings.

Capela ended Saturday's 125-113 loss to the Bulls with 20 points (8-14 FG, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block in 26 minutes. Capela was one of the best two-way centers in the league during his prime years, and he turned the clock back a few years with this strong showing Saturday. This was the first time Capela reached the 20-point plateau this season, and he also finished just one board shy of recording what would've been his second double-double. Onyeka Okongwu could end up being the long-term answer at center for the Hawks, but Capela will remain in the starting unit if he manages to perform at this rate on a regular basis.

Capela produced two points (1-3 FG), five rebounds and one assist over 17 minutes during Monday's 123-93 loss to Boston. Capela had another woeful showing, and it's fair to wonder for how long he'll remain in the starting unit, as Onyeka Okongwu has outplayed Capela in almost every game this season. Capela has had a few decent performances this season but has only one double-double through eight appearances while averaging a modest 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds across 22.5 minutes per game in a starting role.

Capela closed Monday's 121-119 loss to Washington with 16 points (6-6 FG, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 25 minutes. Capela had been outplayed by Onyeka Okongwu (toe) in recent games, but with the latter sidelined Monday, Capela stated his case to continue in a starting role Monday. The veteran big man displayed an efficient touch near the rim and made his mark defensively. Capela is not expected to record the numbers he used to deliver in his prime years with Houston, but he remains a serviceable fantasy option who can flirt with a double-double every time he steps on the court.
