• Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Missing another 4-to-5 weeks

  Sabonis (knee) will be sidelined for at least 4-to-5 more weeks, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports. Sabonis has been rehabbing from a partially torn meniscus in his left knee that he sustained in mid-November. His absence will extend into the new year, and it's unclear whether the veteran center will be able to return in January. Rookie second-rounder Maxime Raynaud has started each of the Kings' last five games and should remain in the starting lineup for as long as Sabonis is sidelined.

  Sabonis (knee) is scheduled to be re-evaluated in the coming days, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports Wednesday. Sabonis is a month into a three-to-four week re-evaluation window, so he's definitely due for an update from the Kings. With the team sitting at 6-20 in the Western Conference, it's unlikely that the center will be rushed back into action. As long as he's sidelined, the Kings will continue to lean on Maxime Raynaud.

  Sabonis has been diagnosed with a partially torn meniscus in his left knee and is expected to be evaluated in 3-to-4 weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Sabonis had already been ruled out for Thursday's matchup, and he's set to miss additional game action beyond Thursday while rehabbing from a partial tear in his meniscus. This opens the door for Drew Eubanks, Precious Achiuwa and Maxime Raynaud to receive more looks at center.
