The Jazz selected Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, adding another high-level creator to their backcourt that already includes George (hamstring). George (hamstring) will remain sidelined for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Lakers. A hamstring injury caused George to miss 15 consecutive games to end the campaign. However, it was an excellent third season for the talented guard, as he averaged 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes per contest.

With only one game left for Utah after Friday's meeting with the Grizzlies, it would be surprising to see George back in the lineup again this season. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) also still sidelined, Ace Bailey could take on increased on-ball duties, while Kennedy Chandler and Bez Mbeng will likely continue seeing significant playing time.
