Sheppard ended with 28 points (9-15 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, six assists, two blocks and three steals in 30 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 115-101 victory over the Nuggets. The second-year guard helped break the game open by scoring 11 points in the final 1:15 of the third quarter. The 28 points on the afternoon marked Sheppard's best offensive showing of the season from the second unit, topped only by a 31-point performance in a start against the Warriors on Nov. 26, and his six made three-pointers tied his career high. Sheppard has scored in double digits and drained multiple three-pointers in six straight games, averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 assists, 3.3 boards, 3.0 threes and 1.3 steals in 26.0 minutes during that stretch.

Sheppard finished with 14 points (5-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 32 minutes during Monday's 128-125 overtime loss to the Nuggets. Sheppard's output Monday was perhaps a step in the right direction, considering his production had been on the decline of late, but the shooting inefficiency does leave a lot to be desired. With Tari Eason (oblique) nearing a return, Sheppard will likely need to heat up to maintain significant minutes. Over his last seven outings, the second-year guard has averaged 9.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 25.9 minutes per game.

Sheppard finished with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 loss to the Mavericks. Sheppard's fantasy appeal continues to leave a lot to be desired. Considering Alperen Sengun (illness) was out for a second straight game, Sheppard's fantasy managers were likely expecting much more. Over his last four outings, Sheppard is averaging 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 23.1 minutes per contest.

Sheppard recorded 27 points (9-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Friday's 112-109 loss to the Nuggets. Sheppard tallied double digits for the eighth straight game, scoring a season-high 27 points in what was also a season-high 37 minutes. After a modest start to the season, it appears as though Sheppard is earning the trust of the coaching staff. He started the second half Friday, an encouraging sign moving forward. Managers should feel relatively safe holding him in all formats.

Sheppard ended with 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 114-104 victory over the Cavaliers. Sheppard extended his streak of hitting multiple three-pointers to seven, averaging 15.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.1 steals, 0.4 blocks and 3.1 threes on a 51.2 percent clip in that span. While Sheppard lacks the offensive volume to be an elite fantasy asset, his efficiency has been amazing, and he will continue to be one of Houston's premier scoring options off the bench.
