Williams has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus the Wizards due to left knee soreness. With both Williams and Ja Morant (ankle) unavailable for Saturday's game, Cam Spencer should get some time to shine as a starter and Jock Landale could see an uptick in minutes. Williams' next chance to play will come Monday in Oklahoma City, which will be the first game of a back-to-back set.

Williams notched five points (1-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 116-110 win over the Timberwolves. With Ja Morant (ankle) sidelined, Williams saw a larger role despite coming off the bench and ended up leading the team in assists with four. Williams has shown he is capable of taking on facilitator duties if necessary, and if Morant misses more time, the former will continue to do so.

Williams won't start against the Jazz on Friday. With Ja Morant (calf) back in action following a 10-game absence, Williams will slide to the second unit. Over eight appearances off the bench this season, the VCU product has averaged 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 18.6 minutes per tilt.

Williams ended with five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one block in 16 minutes during Sunday's 119-96 win over the Trail Blazers. Although Williams has flashed some impressive playmaking skills at times -- he had a pair of games with at least 15 dimes in late November -- his fantasy value is heading into a tailspin. The combo guard has averaged 5.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game across his past four contests, shooting a paltry 25.8 percent from the floor. With Ja Morant (calf) nearing a return, most fantasy managers likely shouldn't be clinging to Williams.
