Rasual Butler: Will be released
The Timberwolves informed Rasual Butler on Saturday that he would be released, Darren Wolfson of KTSP-TV reports.Butler had made NBA rosters in each of the last three seasons despite not receiving a fully-guaranteed contract in any of those years, but that streak came to an end Saturday. The veteran's reliability from the three-point line could allow him to latch on somewhere else around the league, though at 37 years old, Butler may also view retirement as an option.

Timberwolves' Rasual Butler: Signs camp deal with Wolves
Rasual Butler signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.Butler will now attempt to make the Wolves' final roster out of training camp, potentially filling the void left by Kevin Garnett, who is reportedly working toward a contract settlement with Minnesota. In each of the last three seasons, Butler has begun the year on a non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed contract and has been able to earn his way onto the roster for the Pacers (2013-14), Wizards (2014-15) and Spurs (2015-16). Last season, Butler appeared in 46 games for San Antonio, averaging 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game. As he enters his age-37 season, Butler is unlikely to provide more than veteran bench depth for the Timberwolves, should he ultimately make the roster.

Rasual Butler was waived by the Spurs on Wednesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.The move comes in response to the team needing to clear a spot for Kevin Martin, who agreed to sign with the Spurs over the weekend. Butler was far from a fixture in the rotation this season, but he appeared in 46 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.4 minutes. The 36-year-old won't be eligible for the postseason, so he's unlikely to find a new home until the offseason.

Rasual Butler didn't attempt a shot in his minute of playing time against New York in the San Antonio Spurs' 94-84 win Monday.The veteran small forward saw a majority of his time this season in the Spurs' blowout of the Nets last Friday where he saw a season-high of 11 minutes. Aside from that, his opportunities to play have been little to none for San Antonio. Wizards G Bradley Beal listed as questionable for Saturday
The Washington Wizards are hoping to end a five-game skid this Saturday but may not have guard Bradley Beal to help them do that. Beal, who has a sore big right toe, has been listed as questionable for Saturday's road game against the Nets, according to CSN Washington's J. Michael. Beal underwent tests on his toe Friday with the results putting his status for the Nets game in doubt. Beal left during the first quarter of Thursday's loss to the Hornets due to the injury. Rasual Butler and Otto Porter are the next men up if Beal is unable to play.

Wizards' Rasual Butler continues hot shooting from 3-point line
Wizards forward Rasual Butler continues to torch opponents from the 3-point line. Butler finished 4 of 5 from 3-point range to help lead the Wizards to a 110-95 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday. Butler scored 23 points on 9 of 15 shooting. He added five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. Butler is shooting 51.5 percent from 3-point range this season. The 23 points marked the fourth time Butler has scored 20 or more points off the bench this season. The Wizards next play Friday at Miami.
