Evans was much more effective on the boards, pulling down 11 rebounds. He also added two steals and one assist during the contest. Evans had missed the previous three games due to a knee injury.

The Sacramento Kings are willing to part ways with rookie guard Nik Stauskas in exchange for frontcourt help to find a compliment to big man DeMarcus Cousins, reports CBS Sports NBA Insider Ken Berger on Wednesday. Sacramento also has the expiring contracts of Derrick Williams and Reggie Evans to include in such a deal, per the report. The Kings have also shopped forward Jason Thompson around, but a deal involving Thompson would likely happen separately to Stauskas. Stauskas, the No. 8 overall pick in this year's draft, is averaging 3.6 points and 1.1 rebounds while logging 14.1 minutes through his first 38 games.

Evans saw extended playing time Friday with DeMarcus Cousins (illness) on the shelf and translated the extra minutes into his second double-double of the season. He also kicked in one assist and one steal in 32 minutes of action. The Kings have lost seven of their last eight games going into Saturday's matchup with the Knicks.
