Boris Diaw announced his retirement from basketball Thursday, EuroHoops.net reports.Diaw spent 14 seasons in the NBA, playing for the likes of the Hawks, Suns, Hornets, Spurs and Jazz. He became an NBA champion with San Antonio in 2014 and also had a decorated career overseas which included a French League Player's MVP in 2003. Boris Diaw: Signs with French team

Boris Diaw signed a contract Thursday with Paris-Levallois of the French Pro A League, Sportando reports. The 35-year-old veteran has played 13 seasons in the NBA, but struggled to field interest this offseason after averaging 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 17.6 minutes with the Jazz during the 2017-18 campaign. The French native will head home for the upcoming season, though that doesn't rule out the possibility of a potential return to the NBA at some point considering the report didn't include whether or not the contract had an opt-out clause.

Boris Diaw: To be waived by Jazz

Boris Diaw is expected to be waived by the Jazz, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. With the signings of both Jonas Jerebko and Epke Udoh on top of drafting Tony Bradley in the first round, it looks as though the Jazz are moving in a different, slightly younger direction in the frontcourt. Diaw, however, could still be a valuable piece to a team given his ability to pass and stretch the floor. Don't expect the frenchman to be a free agent for much longer after officially getting waived.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Diaw to start Game 3

Boris Diaw will get the start in Game 3, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports.Diaw was moved to the bench for Game 1 in favor of Joe Johnson for a smaller lineup, but after back-to-back losses, the Utah Jazz have seemed to revert back to the original lineup. Diaw has averaged fewer than five points per game in nearly 18 minutes of action this season.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Will move to bench for Game 1

Boris Diaw will move to the bench for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Warriors. The Utah Jazz are opting to go with a smaller lineup Tuesday, which features Joe Johnson in the frontcourt instead of Diaw. That pushes Diaw to the second unit and considering he's averaged just 18.1 minutes over seven playoff games so far, he likely won't be a viable DFS option Tuesday with the demotion.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Puts up 10 points in 14 minutes Tuesday

Boris Diaw scored 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and added three assists across 14 minutes Tuesday in a 96-92 win over the Clippers in Game 5 of the series. With Rudy Gobert (knee) back in action for the last two games, the Utah Jazz have decreased their reliance on Diaw, who had seen 20-plus minutes in the first three contests of the series. Diaw is still starting at power forward, but the production he offered in Game 5 is probably going to be his ceiling most nights unless he sees his playing time trend upward again.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Modest contributions despite Gobert injury

Boris Diaw totaled seven points (3-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), six assists and four rebounds over 23 minutes during Saturday's 97-95 win over the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference first-round playoffs. The veteran forward typically saw minutes in the teens during the regular season, but Saturday's contest afforded him a slight uptick in opportunity. That was presumably due in large part to Rudy Gobert's knee injury on the first play, which sidelined him for the duration of the contest. Diaw was particularly effective as a ball distributor, with his assist total his highest since Jan. 16 against the Suns. Diaw could see a similar minutes total in Tuesday's Game 2 if Gobert is unavailable.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Modestly productive in Saturday start

Boris Diaw drew another start at power forward in Saturday's 101-86 loss to the Trail Blazers, posting four points (2-3 FG), five rebounds and three assists over 18 minutes.Diaw continues to run with the first unit ahead of Derrick Favors. The veteran had been held scoreless over the previous two games but poured in 19 points against his former Spurs teammates last Sunday. His minutes remain capped at around the 20-minute mark, but coach Quin Snyder appears intent on keeping Diaw with the starting five for the time being.

    Jazz's Boris Diaw: Starting Saturday

Boris Diaw will get the start Saturday against the Clippers. The Utah Jazz have tried a few different options in the absence of Derrick Favors (knee), including going small with Joe Johnson starting alongside Gordon Hayward, but coach Quin Snyder will pivot to a bigger lineup to match up against the Clippers' sizable frontcourt. It will mark the second straight start for Diaw, who scored five points and grabbed one rebound in Wednesday's win over New York.

Jazz's Boris Diaw: Will start Wednesday vs. Knicks

Boris Diaw will start at power forward Wednesday against the Knicks, Utah Jazz radio announcer David Locke reports.Diaw, who has started 22 games so far this season, will join the starting rotation Wednesday night, sending Joe Johnson to the bench and bumping Gordon Hayward to small forward. As a starter the veteran has averaged 4.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in just over 21 minutes a contest.
