Chris Kaman: Not ruling out playing in 2016-17
Chris Kaman, an unrestricted free agent, acknowledges that he could retire from the NBA, but hasn't ruled out playing in 2016-17 just yet, Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune reports. "I'm not in any rush [to retire]," Kaman said. "I'm waiting to see what happens with free agency. I'd like to play some more. It depends on the situation, though. I'm not going to close any doors until the time comes."The 34-year-old Kaman barely saw the floor last season as a deep reserve for the Trail Blazers, appearing in just 16 games and averaging only 7.0 minutes per contest. The organization valued Kaman for his willingness to teach and help develop the team's younger big men, so if he's unable to land a contract in free agency, he could stick with the Trail Blazers as a workout coach.

Trail Blazers' Chris Kaman: Scores six points in return from abdominal injury
Chris Kaman (abdomen) tallied six points (3-4 FG), two rebounds, and one assist over eight minutes in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Clippers. An abdominal strain kept Kaman out of the Portland Trail Blazers' regular season finale last Wednesday against the Nuggets, but he may have just been sidelined for precautionary purposes with little on the line at that point. His return to the court for Game 1 suggests that Kaman is reasonably healthy, but since he's rarely been a rotation member this season, we can't count on him to see his minutes tick upward from here.

Trail Blazers' Chris Kaman: Questionable for Wednesday
Chris Kaman is questionable for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Nuggets with an abdominal strain, Blazers.com's Casey Holdahl reports.Kaman likely sustained the injury during a recent practice, as he's only logged six total minutes over the Blazers' five games since the start of April. With the Portland Trail Blazers' spot in the playoffs already locked up, Kaman likely won't be available Wednesday if he's less than fully healthy, but because he rarely sees the floor anything, his potential absence won't affect coach Terry Stotts' rotation.

Trail Blazers' Chris Kaman: Pours in season-high 12 points in Thursday loss
Chris Kaman poured in 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 FT), and added five rebounds, an assist and a block over 15 minutes in Thursday's 118-110 loss to the Spurs. The 13-year veteran has largely been a forgotten man in Portland's big man rotation this season, with the 15 minutes he received Thursday representing his highest allotment of playing time since tallying 20 minutes back on Nov.16 against this same Spurs squad. Kaman's season-high scoring total came on solid 5-of-6 shooting, illustrating one of the highlights of the 33-year-old's skill set. Despite the encouraging performance, it remains to be seen if coach Terry Stotts will consistently give Kaman the opportunity to offer any late-season fantasy value off the bench as part of the regular rotation behind Mason Plumlee.
