Earl Barron signed a one-year contract Saturday with Toyama Grouses of the Basketball Japan League, the Japan Times reports.The 35-year-old Barron has logged 140 career appearances at the NBA level with the Heat, Knicks, Suns, Bucks, Trail Blazers, Warriors, Wizards and Suns, last appearing in the league during the 2014-15 campaign. Given his age, it's likely that Barron will wind his career down overseas before heading into retirement.

The center played 29 minutes over four games with the hawks this season scoring eight points and grabbing nine rebounds. At 34 years-old, it may be difficult for the veteran to crack another roster.

The Phoenix Suns have signed power forward Earl Barron to a 10-day contract. Barron was the final release in the preseason to bring the Suns' roster to 15 players. He spent time with Bakersfield of the NBA Development League before playing in China this season, but he was back in action for Bakersfield Thursday, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
