Tim Duncan announced Monday that he will retire after 19 years in the NBA.Duncan calls it quits after a 19-year NBA career where he averaged 19.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.2 blocks per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. He made 15 All-NBA teams, 15 All-Defensive teams - the most all time - and was also a 15-time All-Star. The former No.1 overall pick out of Wake Forest also joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only two players in NBA history to record at least 26,000 points, 15,000 rebounds and 3,000 blocks in a career, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game. With Duncan no longer in the San Antonio Spurs' rotation, it opens the door for LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol to dominate the frontcourt minutes even more this coming season.

He saw his production dwindle to career-worst levels last season, as he averaged just 8.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks across 25.2 minutes per game in his 61 appearances.
