Dereck Lively II C | DAL
Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Running with first unit
Lively is starting Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Lively will get a look at center over Daniel Gafford in Thursday's exhibition. The Duke product looked solid in his last appearance off the bench Monday against Memphis, logging 12 points, three rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes.

Brandon Clarke C | MEM
Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Out with knee soreness
Clarke won't play Thursday against the Hornets due to knee soreness, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
Clarke is likely being held out as a precaution after playing 21 minutes in Monday's preseason win over the Mavericks. His next chance to suit up will arrive Saturday in Chicago.

Moses Brown C | DEN
Moses Brown: Handed walking papers
Brown was waived by the Knicks on Thursday.
Brown put pen to paper on an Exhibit 10 contract Wednesday, but his time with the team didn't last long. He'll be a strong candidate to be brought back to play for New York's G League team, the Westchester Knicks.

James Wiseman C | IND
Pacers' James Wiseman: Back to bench
Wiseman is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Cavaliers.
With Myles Turner (knee) available, Wiseman will return to the bench. Wiseman certainly left a good impression in the preseason opener, though, putting up eight points (4-4 FG, 0-3 FT) and four rebounds across 16 minutes in Tuesday's 131-130 loss to the Hawks.

Isaiah Jackson C | LAC
Pacers' Isaiah Jackson: Active Thursday
Jackson (undisclosed) is not on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.
Jackson missed the Pacers' preseason opener against the Hawks on Tuesday but will debut Thursday. He's expected to see minutes in the frontcourt and is competing with James Wiseman for the backup center role behind Myles Turner.

Myles Turner C | MIL
Pacers' Myles Turner: Available to play Thursday
Turner (knee) is not on the injury report and will start Thursday's preseason game against the Cavaliers.
Turner missed the preseason opener against the Hawks on Tuesday due to a knee problem after being a late addition to the injury report, but it seems the issue was minor. He's expected to operate under a minute restriction during his preseason debut.
-
Maxi Kleber C | LAL
Mavericks' Maxi Kleber: Not facing Jazz
Kleber (ankle) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz.
Kleber has yet to suit up for any of Dallas' two preseason games, and while his next chance to feature will come against the Clippers on Monday, it wouldn't be surprising if he misses another game or two. He's working to be ready for the start of the regular season against the Spurs on Oct. 24, but even in the scenario he's healthy for the first game of the campaign, he'd have a minimal role at best.

Jarrett Allen C | CLE
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Ultimately suiting up Thursday
Despite a previous report, Allen (rest) will play in Thursday's preseason game against the Pacers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Although the Cavaliers initially planned to sit Allen alongside the rest of the team's starters, the 26-year-old big man will ultimately suit up Thursday. However, Allen likely won't receive a full workload until the regular season rolls around.
