    Jazz's John Collins: Avoids concussion

Collins avoided a concussion but was forced out of Monday's game against the Timberwolves with a head contusion, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. He finished the contest with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds across 20 minutes.

Collins suffered the injury in the third quarter, when he was posterized by the Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards on a thundering dunk. Though he initially left the game to be evaluated for a concussion, Collins passed all diagnostic testing and appears to have escaped with a minor injury. Utah's training staff will likely re-evaluate Collins on Tuesday before a determination on his status is made for Wednesday's game in Oklahoma City.

Jazz's John Collins: Getting checked for concussion

Collins won't return to Monday's game against Minnesota after he exited the game in the third quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. He finished with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds over 20 minutes.

Collins was visibly shaken up after attempting to contest a vicious Anthony Edwards dunk with 5:29 remaining in the period and taking a hit to the head in the process. He'll be subject to diagnostic testing in the Jazz locker room before an assessment is made as to whether he suffered a concussion. If Collins is diagnosed with a brain injury, he would likely face an uphill battle to gain clearance for Wednesday's game in Oklahoma City. Walker Kessler and Omer Yurtseven will likely serve as Utah's primary options at center for the remainder of Monday's contest.

Jazz's John Collins: Sent to locker room

Collins went to the locker room during the third quarter of Monday's game against the Timberwolves with an apparent face injury, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Collins took the brunt of a thunderous dunk by Anthony Edwards, who was also forced to temporarily visit the locker room before returning. Collins appeared to take a hand and knee to the face and is currently being evaluated by the training staff.

  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Won't return Monday

Reid has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Jazz due to a head injury, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports. He recorded 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one block in 17 minutes prior to his departure.

The Timberwolves are already without Rudy Gobert (rib) on Monday and Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) is likely done for the regular season, so Reid's early exit leaves Minnesota without its top three big men. Head coach Chris Finch could be forced to rely on more small-ball lineups for the rest of the night or lean more heavily on two-way player Luka Garza at center.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Good to go Monday

Davis (eye) is active Monday versus Atlanta, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.

Davis exited Saturday's loss to Golden State after 12 minutes upon suffering a corneal abrasion, but the team has been consistently optimistic about his status, and he went through his typical warm-up procedure Monday, so he should be unrestricted in Monday's outing. LeBron James (ankle) has also been cleared for action Monday, bringing the Lakers' current rotation to full strength.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Solid output in limited minutes

Porzingis (hamstring) generated 20 points (7-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 21 minutes Monday in the Celtics' 119-94 win over the Pistons.

The Celtics held Porzingis more than eight minutes under his season-long average of 29.8 minutes per contest in his return from a five-game absence due to a right hamstring strain, but the big man didn't need a full workload to turn in a strong fantasy line against the 12-56 Pistons. Because Boston now holds a 10-game advantage over Milwaukee for the top record in the Eastern Conference, Porzingis and the team's other key rotation players could be subject to occasional rest days and/or lightened minutes loads over the final month of the regular season as the coaching staff prioritizes health for the postseason. If that's the case, Porzingis should remain productive whenever he's available play, albeit with a lower nightly fantasy ceiling than he had earlier in the season.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Will play vs. Lakers

Okongwu (toe) is available for Monday's game against Los Angeles, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Okongwu will be available for the first time since Feb. 12 after recovering from a left big toe sprain/inflammation. He'll likely see minutes as the backup center Monday evening behind Clint Capela.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Taking part in warmups Monday

Davis (eye) is participating in his typical pregame routine ahead of Monday's game against the Hawks, but the Lakers have yet to announce whether he'll play, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

The team expressed optimism about Davis being able to play in Monday's contest earlier in the day, and this latest development is another step in the right direction. The Lakers should have official word on his availability closer to the 10:30 p.m. ET tipoff.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

    Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Unavailable Monday

Gobert (ribs) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.

Gobert will miss his second straight contest while recovering from a left rib sprain. Naz Reid should draw another start at center in Gobert's absence.

  • Luke Kornet C | SA

Celtics' Luke Kornet: Draws another spot start

Kornet is starting Monday's game against Detroit, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Kornet will join the starting lineup for the second time in four games, as the Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum (ankle), Sam Hauser (ankle) and Al Horford (rest). Kornet tallied 12 points, nine rebounds, six assists and one block over 28 minutes in Tuesday's spot start against the Jazz.
